Safr is on a mission to empower women by breaking down barriers in Ridesharing to create opportunities that will change the way they earn money and commute. From supporting your fellow woman driver in maximizing their wealth potential to creating a safe space for you to travel confidently, we invite you to join us in making an impact for women all across Boston, and earn cool stuff while you’re at it. Right now Safr is invite only, and we have an awesome community of drivers and riders. We want to be available to everyone, and that’s where you come in.
Women drivers make on average 34% less than men in ride-sharing (source), that’s 14% worse than the national wage gap. Women routinely suffer harassment, both as drivers and riders. On average, female riders end up being taken on 5% longer riders by unscrupulous drivers (source). This is unacceptable, and that’s why we started Safr. Now we’re launching in Boston and you can make a difference. We’re ready to go now on a small scale, but we’re dreaming bigger. If we can get 5000 riders signed up, we can bring Safr out in a big way much sooner. Bring some friends onboard and we can get you into the app. Bring more and we can give you some free rides. Together we can make this happen.
